Extreme heat from a fire causes conventional stucco to begin to spall and crack at 212º F, allowing outside embers and oxygen into the structure.
On average, wildfires can burn at temperatures ranging from 1,472º F to 2,192º F, with some reaching even higher levels under intense conditions.

FIRE RESISTANT
Building Armour offers unparalleled wildfire protection for both new construction as well as fire hardening existing structures.
Our fire-resistant stucco is capable of withstanding flames up to 1,700ºF for one hour, at a thickness of 1”, with Zero smoke and Zero flame spread.
This level of protection is achieved without the use of exterior gypsum or fire rated sheathing. *
